Becoming ONE

In the moonlight I felt your heart quiver like a bowstring's pulse.

In the moon's pale light, you looked at me.

Nobody knows your heart.

When the sun has gone, I see you beautiful and haunting, but cold,

Like the blade of a knife, so sharp, so sweet.

Nobody knows your heart.

All of your sorrow, grief, and pain are blocked away in the forests of the night.

Your secret heart belongs to the world,

Of the things that sigh in the dark,

Of the things that cry in the dark.

The sun comes up in the sky.

The night is behind.

When I close my eyes,

I hear your good old voice.

All around me brightens, and I pray.

The ray of light breaks through the dark,

Just as the sun brings warmth to the earth.

You see our guilt.

You know our love purifies the world.

We trust in ourselves.

Being together makes us strong.

Your presence, my light in the darkness,

May lead my way.

Even if you are not with me,

The sky sees us becoming one,

So that our love can last forever.
